Spice up your weekday dinner with these tasty turkey meatballs. Turkey balls doesn't sound quite right, so I am sticking with turkey meatballs! You can add more or less spice to add sizzle to your plate, whatever your taste. Serves 4.
Ingredients:
2 large cloves garlic, crushed
1 tbsp olive oil
454g (1lb) minced turkey
1 tbsp sundried tomato paste
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
1/2 level tsp paprika
1/2 level tsp chilli powder
1 tbsp tamari (or soy sauce)
1 tbsp lemon juice
Sea salt (to taste)
Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
Method:
1. Gently fry the garlic in the olive oil.
2. Add to a large bowl with all the other ingredients, season, and mix thoroughly. Shape the mixture into balls or four large patties.
3. Place on a plate and cover, putting them in the fridge to firm for approximately 10 minutes or until required.
4. Barbecue or grill on medium heat for about 10 minutes or until cooked through, turning once during cooking. You can also fry them in a little olive oil if you prefer.
Serving suggestion: A large salad or vegetables. They are delicious cold in a wrap or pitta pocket with salad.
